Wooden Earth makes and sells handcrafted wooden homeware. We opened in 2019, and today our range runs from kitchen boards and carved bowls to wooden watches, chess sets, jewellery and desk accessories — all of it made by a team of 28 craftsmen working across our workshops and production facilities.

Everything we sell is made from real wood. Not veneer over particle board, not printed woodgrain. That single decision shapes everything else about how we work.

Why wood, and why handmade

A wooden object behaves differently to a manufactured one. It arrives with grain that runs its own way, colour that shifts across a single board, and a weight that machine-made alternatives never quite match. Two pieces from the same batch will not be identical — and that is the point.

It also means our pieces can be repaired rather than replaced. A wooden bowl that dries out can be re-oiled. A scratched board can be sanded back. A cracked plastic one goes in the bin. We would rather sell you something once and have it last than sell you the same thing three times.

How we sell

Free shipping, worldwide, on every order. No minimum spend, and no surcharge for living outside the US or Europe. We took the view early on that a customer in Auckland or Johannesburg should not pay more for the same object than a customer in London, and we have never changed it.

If something arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, email us within 14 days with a photograph and we will replace it or refund you in full, delivery costs included, at no expense to you. You also have the statutory 14-day right to cancel any order under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. The full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page.

The people who make it

Twenty-eight craftsmen work across our workshops and production facilities. Some pieces are turned on a lathe one at a time; others are produced in larger runs. What does not change is the material and the standard — solid wood, hand-finished, checked before it ships.
